Palos Verdes Estates

Palos Verdes Estates Subtext

A beach town full of youthful life and rich history, it is no wonder the city of Hermosa Beach is one of the most desirable areas to live in the South Bay. With any type of cuisine you can think of, as well as nightclubs and bars at your fingertips, not to forget the assortment of shops, this small city, located between Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach and minutes from Torrance and Palos Verdes, just can’t be beat.

Hermosa Beach was originally part of the ten-mile ocean frontage of Rancho Sausal Redondo. In the year of 1900 a tract of fifteen hundred acres was purchased for $35.00 per acre from A. E. Pomroy, the owner of the greater part of Rancho Sausal Redondo. Mr. Burbank and Mr. Baker, agents, bought this land for Sherman and Clark who organized and retained the controlling interest in the Hermosa Beach Land and Water Company.
